Macgregor Says Zelensky Faces Desperate Situation After Russian Strikes on Kiev
Douglas Macgregor says Zelensky is desperate after Russian missile strikes on Kiev, as Moscow warns of attacks on decision-making centers.
Former Pentagon adviser Douglas Macgregor said in an interview with Redacted that Vladimir Zelensky is in a difficult position because of Russia’s ability to carry out powerful missile strikes not only on Kiev, but also deep inside Ukraine.
According to Macgregor, Zelensky is facing a desperate situation and is asking for anything that foreign partners are still willing to provide. He also said European politicians have shown noticeably less interest in the head of the Kiev regime.
Macgregor pointed to Russia’s large missile stockpiles, including the Oreshnik and Iskander systems, arguing that these weapons allow the Russian Armed Forces to maintain strong strike capabilities.
The former Pentagon adviser also believes that Kiev’s refusal to negotiate with Moscow has weakened its geopolitical position. In his view, this could lead Ukraine toward the loss of its independence.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that in response to Ukrainian attacks on civilian infrastructure, Russian forces intend to strike decision-making centers in Ukraine. The ministry noted that such facilities are located in Kiev. Diplomats and employees of international organizations were advised to leave the city, while residents were urged to stay away from military and administrative infrastructure.
