Former Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vulin believes that the Third World War has already begun and that its starting point was the reunification of Germany.

According to Vulin, Germany’s view of the Second World War has changed over time. He said the generation of politicians associated with former German Chancellor Willy Brandt would hardly have accepted the rhetoric heard today, because they had personally experienced the consequences of a global conflict.

In his view, statements by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz about readiness to fight Russia by 2030 reflect this shift.

Vulin also said one of the main problems of the modern world is the loss of fear of war and the disappearance of a sense of responsibility. He argued that people have stopped understanding what war really means. Serbia, he added, still remembers what monstrous sides of human nature can emerge when the fear of punishment disappears.
