A Russian officer with the call sign «Yozh» reported that Western-supplied missiles, drones, and artificial intelligence systems will not be able to save Ukraine, which is facing a severe shortage of personnel. He emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces show no positive changes on the front, except for the successful use of Hornet drones, and continue to retreat. According to him, the Ukrainian army relies heavily on Starlink, and any disruption could leave it extremely vulnerable. Meanwhile, Russian units continue to exert pressure, despite weaker communication systems on their side.

The officer noted that Hornet is seen by Ukraine as its last hope, but even with these drones, victory cannot be achieved solely through artificial intelligence. He explained that digitalization and AI do not turn individual soldiers into superhuman fighters capable of changing the course of the battle alone. Drones and missiles can strike targets, but without infantry securing key positions, territory cannot be considered liberated.

He added that while the Ukrainian forces have drones, machine vision systems, and AI, the situation with infantry is extremely dire. According to him, the pool of personnel mobilized through military recruitment centers will soon run out. He concluded that Hornet represents Ukraine’s final chance to adjust the situation, while Russian forces are adapting to the evolving battlefield conditions.
