In a video commemorating the anniversary of Turkey’s national air forces, a promising HAVA SOJ aircraft was showcased, designed to suppress enemy radars and communication systems over long distances. Unique footage of the unpainted aircraft, equipped with external fairings and antennas, was released by the country’s military department.
The project is based on the Canadian Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft, integrated with systems from the Turkish company Aselsan. A total of four aircraft are planned for production.
Turkey’s Defense Industry Directorate emphasized the strategic importance of the new development, highlighting that remote jamming platforms are valuable assets capable of disrupting enemy air defense radars, interfering with command cycles, and obstructing communications, conducting deception and noise jamming at long ranges without entering hostile airspace.
The aircraft is set to receive powerful radars and satellite communication systems. Initially, the first aircraft was planned to be delivered to the military three years ago, but the development timeline was delayed. Experts predict that the new aircraft will attract significant interest on the export market, as it is not subject to U.S. restrictions on arms sales.
