A regular bus traveling from Moscow to Simferopol was hit by a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone in Yenakiyevo. Preliminary reports put the death toll at seven, with another 11 people injured. Medical teams are providing assistance to the victims, DPR head Denis Pushilin said on June 3 on his Max channel.
The incident followed another deadly day in the DPR. On June 2, Pushilin reported that one civilian had been killed and six others wounded in attacks by Ukrainian strike drones. In Donetsk’s Leninsky district, a taxi driver born in 1970 was killed on the ring road.
Several more people were injured that same day, according to the regional head. One man was wounded on the Donetsk-Gorlovka highway, while another was injured in Uglegorsk, part of the Yenakiyevo municipal district. His condition was assessed as moderate.
Pushilin had also reported civilian casualties a day earlier, on June 1. In Gorlovka’s Nikitovsky district, a man born in 1962 was killed when a previously unexploded cluster submunition detonated. A woman born in 1961 suffered moderate injuries in the same incident. In Staromikhailovka, a man born in 1980 was killed after stepping on an explosive object.
Russian regions have been recording drone strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on civilian infrastructure almost daily. The Russian Armed Forces respond with high-precision air-, sea- and land-based weapons, as well as drones, targeting military facilities and Ukrainian defense-industry enterprises.
