Russian air defenses destroyed 354 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight on June 3, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported.
According to the ministry, the drones were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Oryol, Pskov, Rostov, Smolensk, Tver and Tula regions. Other targets were destroyed over the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory, Crimea and the waters of the Sea of Azov.
A day earlier, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Moscow time, air defenses intercepted another 158 Ukrainian UAVs. That Defense Ministry report listed the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Smolensk and Tula regions, as well as the Republic of Crimea.
In the Leningrad region, Governor Alexander Drozdenko said 50 drones had been downed over the region’s territory.
Tula Region Governor Dmitry Milyaev reported that air defense units destroyed 16 drones there. No casualties were reported, and preliminary information indicated no damage to buildings or infrastructure.
In the Voronezh region, seven UAVs were detected and destroyed overnight, Governor Alexander Gusev said. The drones were shot down over four districts. According to preliminary information, no one was injured, while glazing was damaged in two private homes and a garage in one municipality.
