The British Armed Forces deployed Challenger 2 tanks in Estonia’s Võru County, located near the Russian border, Military Watch Magazine reports.

The publication noted that the British tanks were used during NATO’s Spring Storm military exercises, which simulated combat operations against Russian forces.

In recent years, Moscow has repeatedly pointed to NATO’s activity near Russia’s western borders and expressed concern over the alliance’s military buildup in Europe. NATO describes these steps as part of its strategy of «deterring Russian aggression." Russian authorities stress that Moscow remains open to dialogue with NATO on an equal basis, but insist that the West must abandon its course toward the militarization of the continent.
