Representatives of the Kulibin Club of the Narodny Front said Russian engineers have developed a new air defense system based on two Impuls ground robotic platforms.
The system consists of two vehicles: Impuls-RLS and Impuls-Zveroboy. The complex is designed to intercept UAVs both over civilian infrastructure and directly in combat areas.
According to the technical director of the manufacturer Gumich RTK, cited by TASS, Impuls-RLS can detect and track potential enemy UAVs and issue target designation to the second vehicle, Impuls-Zveroboy, which launches a strike drone to destroy the detected UAV.
The Narodny Front emphasized that the developer produces a wide range of ground robotic systems whose main purpose is to reduce risks for military personnel through remote control. This allows an operator to carry out assigned tasks from a safe shelter outside the strike zone.
Another notable new system is the multifunctional Impuls-Excavator ground robotic platform, which has significantly expanded capabilities for protecting personnel. The vehicle is designed for a broad range of engineering work on the line of combat contact, including the construction of fortifications, trench digging and earthworks. According to the developers, the system is controlled remotely through a Mesh network, allowing the operator to manage the vehicle from a safe distance.
