The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Ukrainian forces lost up to 125 servicemen, a German-made Leopard tank and 13 vehicles over the past day in the special military operation zone.
According to the ministry, Ukrainian losses also included two Kazak armored combat vehicles, two field artillery guns, a counter-battery radar station and an electronic warfare station.
The Defense Ministry said units of Russia’s Yug group of forces struck positions held by two mechanized brigades, as well as assault and mountain assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Fighting took place near Malinovka, Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka, Novoselovka, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Nikolayevka and Konstantinovka.
Russian forces also hit storage sites and launch positions for Ukrainian long-range drones. In total, 147 areas came under fire, including temporary deployment points of Ukrainian units and locations used by foreign mercenaries.
Energy and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Ukrainian army were also targeted. The strikes were carried out by operational-tactical aviation, supported by attack drones, missile units and artillery.
