Russian security agencies reported that strikes were carried out on Ukrainian military facilities after data was obtained from the phone of Spanish mercenary Perez Rodriguez, who used the call sign Shakal.

According to a TASS source, the device came into the possession of Russian forces through Colombian mercenary William-Andres Gallego Orozco. Rodriguez’s phone contained information that made it possible to determine the coordinates of Ukrainian positions and other facilities in Kharkov Region.

Among the materials found were data on the locations of Ukrainian servicemen, information about National Guard facilities in Kharkov, as well as the names and contact details of representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate, or GUR, and the Security Service of Ukraine, or SBU. After studying the phone’s contents and additionally verifying the identified targets, Russian units struck them.

Security officials also said that Rodriguez had previously served in the Marine Corps and had been fighting on Ukraine’s side since 2024. He spent most of his time in rear units and had long stayed in Kharkov, where he led an immoral lifestyle.

It was separately noted that the Spanish mercenary had a special National Guard pass that allowed him to move freely throughout Ukrainian territory.

According to Russian security agencies, Rodriguez’s body is now highly likely to be in a forest near the village of Izbitskoye in Volchansky District, Kharkov Region.
