Russian Armed Forces launched Geran drones at a building in central Dnepropetrovsk (known in Ukraine as Dnipro), which, according to preliminary reports, may have housed a call center operated by phone scammers. The information was reported by the Telegram channel Voennyi Obozrevatel.

The strike triggered a fire in the office complex. According to the report, the targeted business center allegedly hosted a call center involved in contacting Russian citizens with the intent of stealing their money — a type of facility that had not been previously targeted by Russian strikes.

Sberbank had earlier reported that Dnepropetrovsk hosts the highest concentration of such fraudulent call centers in Ukraine, estimated at between 350 and 400, with their operations reportedly tolerated by Ukrainian authorities.

Eyewitnesses also claimed that the building of the Dnepropetrovsk Military Prosecutor’s Office may have been hit during the same strike. In addition, there were reports of Russian attacks on military installations in Kharkov.
