Denis Shtilerman, co-founder of the Ukrainian defense company Fire Point, said the enterprise plans to conduct test launches of ballistic missiles toward Moscow as early as this summer or in early autumn, targeting certain symbolic sites. According to him, once the systems confirm their performance, the next test firing will be aimed at the Russian capital. Shtilerman clarified that the company intends to produce a batch of 10–20 missiles to test their ability to hit key targets.

According to him, informational preparation for these attacks began back in the spring. In April, at an exhibition in Rzeszow, Poland, Fire Point presented mock-ups of two ballistic missiles: the FP-9, with a range of 850 kilometers and an 800-kilogram warhead, and the FP-7, which Ukrainian developers position as an analogue of the American ATACMS with a range of up to 300 kilometers.

Earlier, as MK recalls, Aviation Major General Sergei Lipovoy assessed such statements as a bluff. He noted that the missile modification the Ukrainian Armed Forces plan to create by mid-2026 is being developed on the basis of old Soviet sounding rockets, while attempts to launch previous versions ended in failure. In his opinion, Ukraine regularly creates «Napoleonic projects» in order to remain in the global spotlight, but Russian air defense systems are capable of neutralizing such threats.
