Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 123 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
According to the ministry, the drones were downed between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on June 4 and 7:00 a.m. on June 5 over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol and Tula regions, the Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea, and above the Azov and Black seas.
The ministry also reported that another 19 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones had been intercepted the previous day, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on June 4. They were destroyed over the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, Crimea, and the Black Sea.
In the Voronezh region, three drones were shot down overnight over three districts. Regional Governor Alexander Gusev said there were no casualties. In one southern district, glazing and a technical facility at an industrial enterprise were damaged, and part of production was halted pending an inspection of the site.
In the Tula region, air defense units destroyed 14 Ukrainian UAVs, Governor Dmitry Milyaev said. No one was injured, and preliminary information showed no damage to infrastructure.
Separately, on June 5, the village of Leshchinovka in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region came under shelling, according to the Severny Veter channel. A shell hit a private house directly, killing a local resident.
