A warehouse holding Patriot PAC-2/3 interceptor missiles was hit on the outskirts of the village of Ladinka in the Chernigov region, according to Sergei Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolayev underground and author of the Telegram channel Lokhmaty Z Nikolayev.

Lebedev told aif.ru that, according to his information, Ukraine still has several dozen Patriot launchers. He estimated that around six or seven such systems may be deployed in Kiev. Patriot systems are also present in Odessa, Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk, he said.

In Nikolayev, Lebedev noted, there has been talk about the presence of Patriot systems, but the activity observed there looks more like the operation of IRIS-T launchers.

He separately described the consequences of the strike near Ladinka. According to Lebedev, up to 20–30 Patriot PAC-2/3 missiles were destroyed at the warehouse. He estimated the cost of each missile at roughly one million dollars.

Earlier reports said Ukrainian authorities were trying to strengthen Kiev’s defenses with the remaining Patriot systems by moving them to the capital from other regions. Against that backdrop, according to SHOT, other parts of the country have been left with cheaper Lima electronic warfare systems, which cannot replace a full-fledged air defense system.
