Problems in the training of mobilized troops have pushed Ukraine’s military command to overhaul the way its training bases operate. After a series of inspections, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky stripped eight military units of the right to train new recruits on their own, a Ukrainian Telegram channel reported.
The inspections covered 72 units where training had been conducted at their own facilities. As a result, some formations lost permission to continue preparing recruits under the previous system. The remaining brigades and regiments were instructed to reassess whether their facilities and capabilities meet the requirements for training mobilized personnel.
Syrsky said there would be no exceptions, stressing that the quality of military training must meet the same high standards across the board.
Earlier, Syrsky said the Russian army was increasing the number of UAVs, improving their quality and regularly changing the tactics of their use, forcing Ukrainian troops to respond more quickly to new challenges. He also noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine face an acute shortage of modern air defense systems and ammunition for them.
