Russian ballistic missiles remain the greatest concern for Ukrainian forces, Bloomberg reports, citing sources. The publication highlights that Ukraine is under significant pressure as Russia ramps up production of these weapons and continues improving their capabilities. Meanwhile, amid the US-Iran tensions, Kyiv is forced to explore alternative channels for ammunition, focusing attention on Germany.

According to the agency, Ukraine requested Berlin to urgently supply additional interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense system from German reserves. German authorities are reviewing the request but have not issued a decision yet. Previously, President Zelensky addressed the US President and Congress, asking to increase the delivery of air defense systems and missiles, citing a severe shortage of ammunition in the Ukrainian army.

Moscow considers the weapons shipments to Ukraine as an obstacle to conflict resolution, directly involving NATO countries and representing a highly risky move. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that any deliveries of arms to Kyiv could be considered legitimate targets for Russian forces. The Kremlin also stressed that continued Western armament of Ukraine does not facilitate negotiations and will have negative consequences.
