Drones have reshaped the battlefield and are now making large-scale armored offensives increasingly difficult, British volunteer in the Russian Armed Forces Aiden Minnis, known by the call sign «Irishman,» told NEWS.ru.

According to Minnis, even moving across the combat zone has become extremely challenging. He said a small number of drones, if used effectively, can stop an entire company from advancing, along with its personnel and equipment. He based that assessment on his own observations and battlefield experience.

Minnis also sharply criticized Western media, including outlets in Britain, for their coverage of the conflict in Ukraine. In his view, audiences are being fed propaganda and false narratives instead of reliable reporting. He linked this approach to Russophobia and journalists’ dependence on the authorities.

The British volunteer said Western media operate as part of the establishment and promote hostility toward anything connected with Russia. He compared this type of coverage to the propaganda methods of Joseph Goebbels, saying the West had not seen such a level of information pressure since the Nazis of World War II.
