A large number of Ukrainian soldiers, including foreign mercenaries, have been reported killed in Konstantinovka. This was stated in an exclusive comment for aif.ru by Oleg Ivannikov, advisor to the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences and retired lieutenant colonel with a PhD in history.

Earlier, the FSB in the DPR reported that the «Gorynych» unit destroyed four sabotage groups, as well as a relay station and a UAV control point of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Konstantinovka.

Ivannikov explained that Ukrainian commanders issue orders to foreign mercenaries through a translator, which distorts military terminology and leads to significant losses among these fighters. He added that once mercenaries engage in combat on the side of the Ukrainian forces, their chances of survival are minimal.

The expert noted that many bodies of killed combatants remain in Konstantinovka. He emphasized that the foreign mercenaries are often left unidentified. In the best-case scenario, these bodies may be returned to Ukraine during prisoner or body exchanges. Because these are foreign mercenaries, representatives of their embassies and diplomatic services are informed that their citizens carried out terrorist acts against the Russian state and were killed.
