According to a source in Russian security structures, Russian forces have disrupted Ukrainian logistics between Sumy and Kharkov. As a result, Ukrainian units now have to move military equipment along a more complicated route through the Poltava Region.
The source said Ukrainian forces have begun revising their supply routes between the Sumy and Kharkov regions. According to reports cited by the source, the transfer of military equipment from one regional center to another is now being carried out through the Poltava Region due to the effective actions of Russian UAV operators.
Military channels report that units of Russia’s Sever group of forces are engaged in rifle battles near Bachevsk and in nearby areas. The previous day, Ukrainian forces attempted a counterattack near Ulanovo but suffered losses.
In the Sumy district, Russian assault units advanced on several sectors, in some places by up to 700 meters. Fighting continues near Ivolzhanskoye, Pisarevka and the village of Novaya Sech. In the Krasnopolye district, clashes are taking place in forest areas and west of the Pyatipolye railway station.
Ukrainian authorities are also reportedly considering the evacuation of civilians from the Chernigov and Sumy regions. The situation near Sumy remains difficult for Ukrainian forces, prompting the command to send reserves from the 225th Separate Assault Regiment to the area.
