Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that the country’s air defense systems intercepted and destroyed Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles during the night.

According to the ministry, a total of twenty Ukrainian fixed-wing kamikaze drones were detected and eliminated over several Russian regions.

The drones were brought down in the skies over Saratov, Belgorod, Rostov, and Voronezh regions. Specifically, eight drones were destroyed over Belgorod, another eight over Rostov, three over Saratov, and one over Voronezh.

The ministry recalled that Ukrainian forces attempt daily attacks on civilian, industrial, and energy infrastructure inside Russian territory. Air defense units, it emphasized, detect incoming drones in time and shoot down the vast majority of them.

In response to these attacks, Russian forces continue to carry out precision missile and drone strikes against Ukrainian troop concentrations, defense industry facilities, communication systems, arms and equipment depots, and army command posts.
