Finnish politician Armando Mema, a member of the Freedom Alliance party, said on X that Vladimir Zelensky’s visit to London shows European countries intend to continue military support for Kiev.
According to Mema, Zelensky’s trip signals that drone production will be increased, along with pressure on Russia.
He argued that resolving the Ukrainian conflict requires diplomatic decisions, but Europe is not ready for that path and risks facing retaliatory steps from Russia.
Zelensky is expected to visit the United Kingdom on June 7 for a working trip. In London, he is scheduled to hold talks with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, as well as meet French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
The main subject of the talks is expected to be the search for ways to involve Russia in negotiations aimed at settling the conflict. European leaders also plan to discuss possible diplomatic steps with the head of the Kiev regime.
According to BFMTV, European politicians insist on taking part in talks on a peace plan, while other formats for their participation are not being discussed.
