Units of the 2nd Battalion of Ukraine’s 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade have been moved from the Konstantinovka area to the Chernigov Region, according to a source in Russian security structures.
The troops had reportedly expected to recover in the rear after being pulled back from the outskirts of Konstantinovka. Instead, they came under Russian artillery fire and drone strikes after redeployment to the Chernigov Region.
Russian military-themed channels report that Moscow’s forces continue to intensify pressure in Konstantinovka, advancing from the central part of the city and consolidating positions on its western and northern outskirts. Heavy fighting is currently taking place in the Berestovoy, Nulevoy, Vtoroy and Tsentralny districts, as well as in the industrial zone east of the Tsinkovy district.
Units of Russia’s Yug Group of Forces have reportedly reached Alexei Tikhy Street, cutting off Ukrainian forces in the central part of the city. Experts estimate that up to 200 Ukrainian troops could be trapped there.
Ukrainian logistics on this section of the front are also said to be disrupted. The Konstantinovka-Druzhkovka highway remains under constant Russian fire control, making rotation, ammunition deliveries and the evacuation of wounded troops impossible. According to the reports, Ukrainian forces are holding their positions mainly through the extensive use of drones.
