Military expert Alexei Leonkov believes European countries may have been involved in the Ukrainian drone strike on a passenger train in Crimea.

He pointed out that the Ukrainian Armed Forces use Western military artificial intelligence systems for various operations, including the Palantir platform. According to Leonkov, the pattern of such attacks suggests that drones are being directed toward vulnerable points identified in advance. He argues that the use of drones and missile systems is being calculated with the help of artificial intelligence.

Leonkov said strengthening air defenses on the peninsula could reduce risks to transport infrastructure. At the same time, he believes trains themselves may need additional protection. Possible measures include escorting trains with air defense systems, anti-aircraft missile complexes, anti-aircraft artillery, interceptor drones and electronic warfare systems.

On June 8, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Moscow-Simferopol passenger train. According to Crimean head Sergei Aksyonov, the assistant driver was killed and another person was injured. The Kremlin said such attacks complicate the prospects for a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
