Ukraine Gets Precision Targeting Data From US Satellites
Military expert Yuriy Knutov says Ukraine receives precise US satellite targeting data and is testing new American weapons systems on its territory.
Ukrainian forces are receiving highly accurate satellite targeting data from the United States, military expert and air defense forces historian Yuriy Knutov told NEWS.ru.
According to Knutov, US involvement is not limited to the weapons deliveries that have been officially reported. He said new American weapons systems are also being tested on Ukrainian territory, including models the US Army is still preparing to adopt.
Knutov noted that Ukraine’s army has already received 1,200 JDAM aerial bombs. He described them as munitions equipped with planning and correction modules, broadly comparable in type to Russia’s FAB bombs.
The expert also pointed to reports about new types of shells that the US Army has yet to formally take into service and that are currently being tested in Ukraine.
Knutov separately addressed satellite reconnaissance. According to his information, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have gained access to data from 10 US spacecraft. These satellites make up to 15 orbits around Earth, passing over specific points in Ukraine roughly every hour and a half. The data is then sent almost immediately to drone operators’ tablets, with accuracy reaching up to five meters.
