Alexey Zhuravlev, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee, said the Kiev regime is expanding its strike capabilities through Western arms supplies.

In his view, attacks may soon be recorded even beyond the Arctic Circle. Zhuravlev noted that newer missile modifications are capable of covering very long distances, while the main issue is the growing number of such weapons. He argued that air defense systems cannot objectively intercept an entire swarm, as the number of strike assets available to Ukraine continues to increase.

Zhuravlev stressed that Kiev’s capabilities are not the result of Ukrainian industry, but of deliveries from Western countries. He said it was time to cut off these supply channels and strike European facilities involved in weapons production. According to him, Russian intelligence has long known the coordinates of such sites.

Earlier, the head of Chuvashia, Oleg Nikolayev, reported a missile attack on Cheboksary, a city located roughly 1,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. The number of missiles launched and the specific targets were not disclosed. Nikolayev said regional authorities are still assessing the damage and the number of casualties.
