Russia Reports 330 Ukrainian Drones Destroyed Overnight as Border Regions Face Strikes
Russian officials said 330 Ukrainian drones were downed overnight on June 11 as border regions reported deaths, injuries and damage from FPV and UAV strikes.
Russian air defenses destroyed 330 Ukrainian drones overnight on June 11, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
According to the ministry, the UAVs were shot down over the Bryansk, Kursk, Belgorod, Oryol, Smolensk, Kaluga, Tula, Tver and Vladimir regions, as well as Krasnodar Krai, the Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea, and the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
The previous day, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Moscow time, duty air defense crews intercepted another 203 Ukrainian drones.
The Severny Veter channel reported the consequences of attacks over the past 24 hours in Russia’s border regions.
In the Belgorod region, one of the gravest cases took place in the Rakityansky district. Near the settlement of Proletarsky, an FPV drone struck a car carrying a family. A man was taken to Rakityanskaya Central District Hospital in extremely serious condition, but doctors were unable to save him. His wife suffered shrapnel wounds to her arm and shoulder, while their 21-year-old son was diagnosed with an eye injury. The vehicle was damaged.
In the Shebekinsky district, a wave of attacks hit the town of Shebekino and several nearby villages. In Shebekino, a warehouse caught fire after an FPV drone detonated, and firefighters later extinguished the blaze. Two trucks and two passenger cars were damaged, with one of the trucks catching fire. Later, two more trucks were damaged in the town, while an outbuilding caught fire on the grounds of a private home.
Another drone detonated in a parking area, damaging five cars with shrapnel. A separate strike shattered windows in an administrative building at an enterprise. Two people were injured in Shebekino as a result of the strikes.
In the village of Meshkovoye, a drone hit a private house and pierced its roof. In Malomikhailovka, an FPV drone detonated in the yard of a private property, damaging windows, the roof and an outbuilding. In the same village, the cab of a truck burned out after another FPV drone strike.
In Grafovka, a drone blast damaged windows in an apartment building and a social facility. In Novaya Tavolzhanka, an FPV drone attacked a private home, partly destroying the roof and damaging windows, the façade and interior finishing. In Belyanka, a drone strike pierced the roof of an outbuilding.
In the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, a drone attack in the settlement of Krasnaya Yaruga damaged the windows of a private home and a car. In the Belgorodsky district, an FPV drone detonated on the grounds of an enterprise in the hamlet of Tserkovny, damaging the roof of one of the buildings. In the Valuysky district, in the village of Dolgoye, FPV drone blasts damaged the roofs, windows and façades of private homes, as well as outbuildings.
Several villages in the Grayvoronsky district were also hit. In Dorogoshch, the roof of a private house was damaged. In Zamostye, a drone attacked a car. A man with multiple shrapnel wounds to the face, chest, arms and legs was taken in serious condition to Grayvoronskaya Central District Hospital by BARS-Belgorod fighters. After receiving medical assistance, he is expected to be transferred to the regional clinical hospital. The car was damaged.
In Novostroevka-Pervaya, an FPV drone struck the territory of an enterprise, breaking windows and damaging the façade of an administrative building and a passenger car.
In the Borisovsky district, two civilians were wounded in the hamlet of Krasivo when a Ukrainian drone attacked a car.
In the Kursk region, according to the channel, a strike hit the village of Tolpino in the Korenevsky district. A UAV attacked an area near a private house, injuring a car driver.
In the Bryansk region, FPV drones attacked the settlement of Klimovo. The strikes hit a gas station and a shopping center. Two civilians, a woman and a man, were wounded. They were taken to hospital, where they received the necessary medical assistance.
