Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo said Ukrainian forces continue to strike bridges in the region. According to him, four transport infrastructure facilities were damaged during an overnight attack.

The strikes hit a bridge across the North Crimean Canal near Preobrazhenka and Mirnoye, a road bridge on the Perekop-Armyansk section, and a crossing near the settlement of Stavki.

Saldo said preliminary information indicated damage to the structures, while specialists were inspecting the sites and assessing their condition.

He also reported that air defense systems shot down 45 enemy drones overnight. According to the governor, Ukrainian forces are deliberately targeting the region’s transport infrastructure. Additional information on traffic arrangements and repair timelines for the damaged facilities will be provided later.

On June 9, Saldo also reported damage to a bridge in the village of Chongar after a Ukrainian attack and advised drivers to use alternative routes through Armyansk and Perekop.

In late May, a section of the Novorossiya highway on the border between the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions was closed after a Ukrainian hexacopter dropped mines onto the road. Saldo said the munitions react to movement and pose a serious threat to civilian vehicles.
