According to war correspondent Alexander Sladkov, the Russian military is in the process of establishing what he described as a «kill zone» in the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ rear positions. He noted that this is a gradual effort and that the Russian side still has much work ahead.

Sladkov explained that the concept involves a designated sector where enemy troops and equipment are destroyed through concentrated firepower, including drones, artillery, and aerial bombs. He characterized it as a system where «once the target is detected, it is immediately eliminated».

The correspondent also pointed out that the project is still under discussion, with the key decision being whether to implement it as separate sections or as one continuous belt. He argued that such a «kill zone» could serve both offensive and defensive purposes.

Earlier, a Ukrainian officer using the callsign «Alex» claimed that Russian forces had already created a kill zone that covered a significant part of the Kharkov region. He said Russian troops were capable of striking targets well beyond the immediate front line.
