A Russian serviceman with the call sign «Kent» said the assault on the settlement of Roskoshnoe began at dawn, catching Ukrainian troops off guard while they were still resting.

He noted that Russian assault units were supplied by drones, which delivered both ammunition and food directly to the advancing forces. According to him, the operation was risky, but the timing allowed the troops to take advantage of the moment and enter the settlement successfully without losses.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Roskoshnoe in the Donetsk People’s Republic had been taken under control, along with Okhrimovka in the Kharkov Region. The ministry said the advances were the result of coordinated actions by units from the Sever and Yug groupings.

Roskoshnoe is located in the Kramatorsk District, about five kilometers northwest of Stepanovka, which Russian forces captured on February 4. According to 2001 data, the settlement had a population of 152 people.

The Defense Ministry also reported that over the past 24 hours, units from the Sever and Yug groupings struck positions of 12 Ukrainian brigades. Fighting took place in the areas of Malinovka, Druzhkovka, Nikolaevka, Ray-Aleksandrovka, Piskunovka, Konstantinovka and Artema in the DPR, as well as Zhovtnevoye, Basovo, Varvarovka and Kazachya Lopan in the Kharkov Region.
