Intense Street Battles as Russian Troops Advance on Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov
Russian troops intensify assaults on Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov, cut Ukrainian supply routes, and tighten fire control near Sofievka amid fierce street fighting.
Units of Russia’s «Center» military group are pressing forward with assaults on Krasnoarmeysk (known in Ukraine as Pokrovsk) and Dimitrov (Ukrainian: Mirnograd), while simultaneously ramping up pressure east of Novopavlovka and tightening fire control over key Ukrainian supply routes, according to Russian military correspondents.
Heavy street fighting continues on the southwestern outskirts of Krasnoarmeysk. Russian troops are attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses in the Lazurny district, while at the same time targeting and severing critical enemy supply lines. Among the most important are the E50 highway and the road running through Grishino.
These transport routes have become highly dangerous for Ukrainian convoys and troop movements, as Russian reconnaissance drones are continuously tracking their positions and movements.
The situation remains tense around Dimitrov. Russian artillery units are carrying out regular strikes on Ukrainian positions in the city’s eastern districts, seeking to push enemy forces from key strongholds and set the stage for further advances.
In the Sofievka sector, Russian forces have brought forested terrain along the Poltavka River under fire control, as well as several crucial Ukrainian logistical routes. This development significantly restricts Kyiv’s ability to supply troops along the Toretsk-Sofievka-Shakhovo corridor and complicates the transfer of reserves to the frontline.
