The settlement of Priyut in the Donetsk People’s Republic has come under the control of units from Russia’s Center group of forces, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

According to the ministry’s weekly briefing, Russian troops struck Ukrainian formations from four mechanized brigades, a jaeger brigade, assault, airmobile and airborne brigades, a drone systems brigade, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three marine brigades, five National Guard brigades and the Azov special-purpose brigade, which is designated a terrorist organization and banned in Russia.

The ministry assessed Ukrainian losses in this sector at more than 2,135 service members. It also reported the destruction of three tanks, 17 armored combat vehicles, 59 vehicles and eight field artillery guns.

The Defense Ministry also reported seven retaliatory strikes carried out by the Russian army from June 6 to June 12 against Ukrainian infrastructure used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the ministry, the strikes were a response to Ukrainian attacks on civilian facilities inside Russia.

Over that period, Russian forces carried out two massive and five group strikes using precision weapons and attack drones.

The targets listed by the ministry included fuel and energy facilities, transport and port infrastructure, military airfields, ammunition depots, and sites linked to the assembly, storage, preparation and launch of long-range drones and unmanned boats. The ministry also said temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries were hit.
