Hospitals and military medical facilities in Sumy Region have been placed under such heavy strain from the large number of wounded Ukrainian soldiers that inpatient treatment has reportedly been limited to three weeks. Media outlets learned this from an unnamed representative of Russian security structures.

According to the source, relatives of Ukrainian servicemen are unhappy that wounded soldiers are now expected to remain in medical facilities in the region for no more than 21 days.

The security official said families of Ukrainian troops have complained that, because of the huge number of wounded servicemen, treatment in hospitals across Sumy Region has been formally restricted to a maximum of three weeks.

He also claimed that deaths among seriously wounded Ukrainian soldiers after discharge from hospitals have already been recorded. According to the source, the possible reason was the lack of necessary medical care after treatment was forcibly cut short.
