The Russian army has carried out a massive group strike on defense industry facilities in Ukraine’s largest cities in response to terrorist attacks by the Kiev regime. The targets were located in Kiev, Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the morning of June 15.
According to the ministry, military airfields and territorial recruitment centers were also hit. The operation involved long-range precision weapons launched from air, ground and sea platforms, along with attack drones.
The Defense Ministry said the strike achieved its objectives and that all designated targets were hit.
Ukrainian monitoring resources reported that more than 25 ballistic missiles and at least seven Zircon missiles struck Kiev overnight on June 15. One ballistic missile each was also reported to have hit Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov.
In addition, Russian forces used around 480 attack unmanned aerial vehicles and approximately 28 Kh-101 cruise missiles.
Ukrainian public channels reported large fires in Kiev. Thick, acrid smoke covered the capital, making breathing difficult. Damage was recorded at more than 40 locations.
