A Flamingo missile launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was destroyed overnight on June 15 in the skies over Oryol Region. Governor Andrey Klychkov reported the incident during an operational meeting of the regional government.

According to the regional head, the Ukrainian missile was eliminated by an aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Klychkov described it as a large missile carrying a significant amount of explosives and thanked the country’s air forces for their work.

The governor also said two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over Oryol Region that same night. According to him, there were no casualties.

Earlier, reports said a Ukrainian drone hit a multi-storey residential building in the Severny district of Oryol overnight on June 14. The strike damaged nearly 100 apartments and 40 vehicles.

Klychkov ordered restoration work on the building to be completed and said all those affected would receive compensation. One person was killed after the attack, while eight others required medical and psychological assistance.
