The Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter, developed with stealth technologies, has confirmed its effectiveness in real combat conditions during the special military operation. TASS reported this, citing statements by officials.

Former Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu previously gave a high assessment of the aircraft’s use. He said the Su-57 performed brilliantly in the special military operation zone. Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov also supported this assessment.

According to Chemezov, the fighter showed serious results even amid active operations by Western air defense systems. Among the systems the Su-57 faced in combat conditions were the American Patriot, the Norwegian-American NASAMS and the German IRIS-T.

The aircraft’s use in the special military operation zone became a full-scale test under conditions close to combat confrontation with modern air defenses. The Su-57, designed to reduce radar visibility, operated in an environment where the enemy had Western-supplied detection and strike systems.

Combat experience made it possible to obtain data on the work of onboard equipment, weapons and technologies built into the aircraft’s design. Statements by representatives of the military department and the defense industry indicate that the fighter confirmed the combat qualities intended for it.

The Su-57 continues to carry out missions in the special military operation zone, demonstrating its ability to operate in the presence of modern air defense systems of a potential enemy.
