The Russian Volna Kupol Garant system, used to counter Starlink satellite communications, demonstrates high effectiveness in local tactical operations. Sergey Trukhachev, a specialist in technical and information security, told TASS about this.

According to the expert, this is not about completely shutting down the entire Starlink system. The system works differently: it affects a specific satellite at the moment when it passes over the area covered by electronic warfare systems.

Trukhachev explained that this principle makes it possible to suppress individual frequencies used by the enemy. Due to this targeted impact, in his assessment, the system effectively handles tasks in limited combat areas.

Earlier, media outlets reported that Russian forces were using Volna Kupol Garant to suppress Starlink satellite communications. The specialist clarified that in its basic configuration, the system usually includes eight satellite antennas.

At the same time, according to Trukhachev, the system can be adapted for specific tasks. Its design can be modernized, and the system itself can be mounted on different types of equipment, which expands its possible uses.
