A Ukrainian UAV attacked a bus carrying a children’s football team from Gomel in Bryansk Region. The young athletes were travelling to Gelendzhik for a holiday, acting Bryansk Region Governor Yegor Kovalchuk said.
One woman accompanying the team was killed. Six other people were injured, including four teenagers.
The wounded were taken to hospital, where doctors provided the necessary medical assistance. Kovalchuk said the remaining passengers were expected to be sent home soon.
Bryansk Region has repeatedly come under attacks from the Ukrainian armed forces. On June 15, three machine operators from the Miratorg agricultural holding were killed in a drone strike in Pochepsky District. On June 11, a five-year-old child was wounded in Klimovsky District after an FPV drone attack. Another strike took place on June 6 in the village of Chubkovichi in Starodubsky District, where a woman and her two children, aged six and seven, were injured.
On June 3, a Ukrainian armed forces drone hit a Moscow-Simferopol passenger bus in Yenakiyevo in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Eight people were killed and 12 others were injured in that attack.
