The Russian Defense Ministry released new data on the interception of Ukrainian drone attacks against Russian regions. According to the ministry, Russian air defense units detected and destroyed 85 Ukrainian fixed-wing kamikaze drones overnight.

Most of them-38 drones-were shot down over Voronezh region. Thirteen were destroyed over Crimea, eleven over Belgorod, ten over Saratov, seven over Rostov, four over Volgograd, and two over Penza.

The ministry recalled that Ukrainian forces attempt daily attacks on civilian, industrial and energy facilities inside Russian territory. Russian air defenses, it stressed, regularly detect incoming drones and destroy the vast majority of them. In response to such attacks, Russian forces carry out precision missile and drone strikes against Ukrainian troop concentrations, defense industry sites, communication systems, weapons and equipment depots, as well as army command posts.

The ministry also noted that a day earlier, in Chernigov region, a strike with an Iskander missile and Geran drones destroyed several heavy trucks transporting Ukrainian UAVs to launch sites. According to Russian military data, the strike eliminated 20 trucks, 100 kamikaze drones, and 60 Ukrainian personnel, including drone operators and truck drivers.
