Finnish President Alexander Stubb believes that the conflict in Ukraine will not end in the near future. In an interview with Hufvudstadsbladet, he suggested that the fighting would continue for some time.
According to Stubb’s assessment, the conflict may last at least another three to four months.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov urged against making guesses about when the conflict in Ukraine might end. He recalled President Vladimir Putin’s position that the outcome is now being determined on the battlefield by Russian servicemen, watched by the entire country.
Putin has also stated that Moscow proceeds from the assumption that the fighting in Ukraine will end once Russia’s goals are achieved.
