Russian troops used Courier ground robotic transport systems to create an aerosol screen that covered the advance of assault units deeper into enemy defenses in the SVO zone, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

The operation was carried out by operators of the Courier unmanned ground system from the Center group of forces. According to the ministry, the smoke-like aerosol cover helped conceal the movement routes of equipment and personnel from Ukrainian reconnaissance assets and significantly reduced the impact of Ukrainian strike drones.

Ivan Pryanishnikov, commander of an RKhBZ platoon within the Center group of forces, explained that a dense aerosol cloud can hide vehicles by preventing the image from reaching the camera of a drone operating with artificial intelligence.

The Russian Defense Ministry noted that modern ground robotic systems allow RKhBZ units to carry out high-risk tasks without exposing servicemen to direct danger.

The Courier system can be controlled either by radio channel or through a fiber-optic line. The choice depends on battlefield conditions and the distance at which the platform is being used. The ministry stressed that this makes it possible to keep control of robotic equipment even under active electronic warfare pressure from the enemy.

Section commander Alexey Romakhin said the vehicle helps protect personnel, disorient enemy forces and open a route for servicemen and allied units to reach the required area in the SVO zone.

Courier operator Nikolay Trofimov, who has worked with the system for about a year, described it as not particularly difficult to use. In his view, an operator needs to understand the mission, navigate the terrain well and calculate in advance how long the battery charge will last. The basic work cycle, he explained, consists of delivery, unloading, returning, reloading and delivering again.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the use of the Courier system by RKhBZ servicemen helped ensure the concealed and safer advance of assault units from the Center group of forces on the Dobropolye sector of the front.
