EU leaders mentioned violations of member states' airspace in the final statement of the Brussels summit, but did not say that some of the drones that entered it were of Ukrainian origin.

The document says that, amid repeated incidents involving airspace violations, the European Council considers it necessary to strengthen the protection of the European Union’s land, air and sea borders.

At the same time, the statement specifically describes only one episode — the appearance of a drone in Romanian airspace on May 29. EU leaders claimed that the drone was allegedly Russian. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the incident earlier, allowed that it was most likely a Ukrainian drone that had gone off course because of electronic warfare systems or technical flaws.

In recent months, Ukrainian aerial and naval drones have repeatedly ended up on the territory of European countries. Such incidents have also been confirmed by the Ukrainian side. In particular, the Ukrainian Navy admitted that on June 5, a Ukrainian unmanned naval boat exploded in the Romanian port of Constanta.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova earlier said that 11 such incidents had been confirmed over three months. According to her, the situation in which Kiev strikes the European Union while European countries continue financing arms supplies to Ukraine can be described as political self-harm.
