Renat Karchaa, an adviser to the head of the Republic of Crimea, said Ukrainian attacks on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and its satellite city Energodar are aimed at destabilizing the situation in order to provoke a man-made disaster and later blame Russia for it.

According to him, Ukrainian drones are striking civilian infrastructure, pursuing vehicles and disrupting the normal operation of the plant. He also said the attacks are interfering with staff shift changes at the nuclear facility.

Karchaa described the situation as the work of a large organized criminal group, claiming that its political leadership comes from what he called the «party of war» in the collective West, while the Ukrainian regime carries out the actions. In his view, this amounts to the preparation of a crime against humanity.

He stressed that the attacks have no military purpose and are instead intended to exert psychological pressure on civilians. Karchaa also said attempts to prevent nuclear plant employees from reaching their workplaces pose a direct threat to nuclear safety.

In his assessment, Kiev is trying to provoke a nuclear incident and then shift responsibility onto Russia. Karchaa believes these actions are meant to compensate for Ukrainian failures on the battlefield.
