Military analyst Yuri Knutov argued that destroying Ukrainian call centers operating under the supervision of intelligence services and engaged in espionage activity should become one of the Russian army’s priority tasks. He stressed that until recently, such facilities had not been targeted.

Knutov explained that before striking a call center in Dnepropetrovsk, it was necessary to verify whether the building’s infrastructure was connected to civilian communication hubs, which could have provided Ukraine with internal and international links. Only after confirmation that the business center housed fraud operators calling Russian citizens was an attack authorized.

He said that strikes were avoided until investigators were certain the site was indeed a call center. Once solid evidence showed it was a fraudulent operation, the order was given.

Earlier, Russian combat drones struck a call center of Ukrainian scammers in central Dnepropetrovsk. According to reports, the office contained both staff and equipment used for phone calls targeting Russian citizens with fraudulent schemes.
