The United States provided the Armed Forces of Ukraine with intelligence for strikes on targets deep inside Russia, including an oil refinery in Moscow, according to the Financial Times.

Citing sources, the newspaper reported that Kiev’s Western allies are urging Washington to keep supplying Ukrainian forces with intelligence data. The article also said US President Donald Trump was strongly impressed by Ukraine’s recent attacks.

According to the Financial Times, Vladimir Zelensky and Trump held a lengthy conversation during dinner in Evian-les-Bains last week, where the US president praised Kiev’s recent military results.

The Kyiv Independent also reported that Trump, in private discussions, advised the Ukrainian side to act more boldly in order to push Russia toward negotiations. After meeting with Trump, Zelensky said the United States had for the first time given a positive signal on licensing the production of missiles for Patriot systems on Ukrainian territory.

Zelensky said Kiev already has the necessary technical capabilities, but the final decision depends on the personal approval of the US president. He also plans to ask American defence companies to organize licensed production of air defence missiles in Europe and Ukraine.
