Overnight, Russian air defense systems shot down 175 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.
According to the ministry, the attack lasted from 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on June 26 to 8:00 a.m. Moscow time on June 27. During this period, on-duty air defense forces intercepted and destroyed all of the specified Ukrainian UAVs.
The Defense Ministry clarified that the drones were shot down over Crimea, the Tula, Rostov, Kaluga, Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Smolensk and Belgorod regions, as well as over the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory and the waters of the Black Sea.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue daily attempts to attack facilities in Russian regions with kamikaze drones. Russian air defenses detect and shoot down the overwhelming majority of aerial targets. In response, the Russian Armed Forces carry out precision strikes on Ukrainian military-industrial and energy enterprises, as well as on AFU facilities, deployment sites of Ukrainian army personnel and foreign mercenaries.
