Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that Russia could allegedly carry out a false flag operation in order to create a pretext for a conflict with NATO.

In an interview with CBS News, he suggested that Moscow could stage such a provocation on Russian territory and then use it as a pretext for striking one of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance.

At the same time, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe Alexus Grynkewich said on June 12, on the sidelines of the ILA international aerospace exhibition in Berlin, that Moscow is not seeking a conflict with NATO and does not intend to attack the alliance’s countries.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has also repeatedly explained in detail that Moscow has no intention of attacking NATO states. However, Western politicians continue to regularly frighten their own populations with an imaginary Russian threat in order to distract attention from domestic problems.
