The Russian Defence Ministry said air defence forces destroyed more than two hundred Ukrainian drones over Russian regions overnight.

According to the ministry, 213 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on June 27 and 7:00 a.m. Moscow time on June 28.

The military department said the drones were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Rostov, Ryazan, Tambov and Tula regions, as well as over Krasnodar Region, the Moscow region and Crimea. Air defence systems also intercepted UAVs over the Azov and Black seas.

Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said several residential buildings in Slavyansk-on-Kuban were damaged during the nighttime attack. A gas pipeline and a power line were also hit, while a fire broke out at the site of a local oil refinery. One person was killed.

Another person was injured in the village of Trudobelikovsky in Krasnoarmeysky District, where falling drone debris damaged several private houses.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said air defence forces intercepted one drone approaching the capital at the beginning of the night.
