Russian Air Defense Intercepts Drone Attacks Over Black Sea, Crimea and Border Regions

The Russian Defense Ministry says 20 Ukrainian kamikaze drones were destroyed overnight over the Black Sea, Crimea, and regions including Voronezh, Belgorod and Kursk.
The Russian Defense Ministry has reported on the work of the country’s air defense forces during the past night. According to the ministry, Russian on-duty air defense units detected and destroyed 20 Ukrainian fixed-wing kamikaze drones in the skies over Russian regions during nighttime hours.
Nine drones were shot down over the Black Sea, four over Voronezh region, three over Belgorod, three over Crimea, and one over Kursk region.
The ministry reminded that Ukrainian forces attempt such drone attacks on a daily basis, targeting civilian, industrial, and fuel-and-energy facilities in Russian regions. Russian air defenses, it noted, routinely detect incoming UAVs and destroy the majority of them before they reach their targets.
In response to these drone attacks, Russian forces continue to launch precision missile and drone strikes against Ukrainian military infrastructure. Targets include troop concentrations, defense industry facilities, communication systems, weapons and equipment depots, as well as Ukrainian army command posts.
