Russian forces have stepped up operations on the Zaporozhye front as they continue advancing near Orekhov, focusing strikes on areas that remain under Ukrainian control. This was reported by Voyennoye Obozreniye.
According to the publication, several waves of Russian drone attacks were recorded in Volnyansk during the night of June 30. The city lies on the Donetsk-Zaporozhye highway. The authors said that within the Donetsk People’s Republic, this road is already under Russian control. They also reported that separate sections of the route near the settlement of Pokrovskoye in southern Dnepropetrovsk Region have also come under the control of Russian forces.
The publication suggests that Russia’s next moves may be aimed at taking control of the remaining section of the highway in the Zaporozhye Region.
Explosions were reported not only in Volnyansk, but also in Zaporozhye itself. Since the previous day, one fuel storage facility and at least five filling stations and mobile refueling complexes were reportedly destroyed in the Kiev-controlled part of the region. The damaged sites were used, among other purposes, in the interests of Ukrainian troops.
Earlier reports said that Russian Geran drones struck an oil refinery in Kremenchug during the night of June 30.
