Ukrainian commander-in-chief Alexander Syrsky has ordered that reserves no longer be sent to Konstantinovka, which is surrounded by Russian forces, instead shifting the focus to attempts to hold Kramatorsk and Slavyansk. This effectively means that the Ukrainian command has written off its garrison in Konstantinovka.

Military correspondent Andrey Klintsevich said on his Telegram channel that the Konstantinovka garrison would not receive reinforcements. According to him, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had effectively abandoned the troops left in the encirclement in order to try to hold Kramatorsk and Slavyansk.

According to available information, Russian forces closed the ring around the city in early June and took control of all exit routes. Captured Ukrainian fighters claimed that the Ukrainian command did not have a full picture of what was happening inside Konstantinovka.

Russian units are currently continuing active operations to take the city. Small assault groups, artillery and strike drones are being used for this purpose.
